By creating an account or using PhysicsForum.org, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — they are deliberately written in plain English.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to register. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your country, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms on your behalf.
2. Your Account
- You are responsible for the security of your password and for all activity performed under your account.
- One person, one account. Sock-puppet accounts are prohibited.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorised access at security@physicsforum.org.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use PhysicsForum in good faith. The following are not permitted:
- Spam, advertising, link-farming, or unsolicited self-promotion.
- Harassment, hate speech, doxxing, or personal attacks.
- Copyright infringement or plagiarism. Always cite your sources.
- Automated scraping or load testing without our written permission.
- Misrepresenting your credentials or affiliations.
- Promoting pseudoscience as if it were established physics.

4. Content You Post
You retain full ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant PhysicsForum.org a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, archive, and distribute that content as part of the service. You may delete your posts at any time.
5. Content We Provide
Articles, simulations, and other content authored by the PhysicsForum team are licensed under Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0 unless explicitly stated otherwise. You are free to share and adapt with attribution.
6. Pro Membership
Pro is an optional paid subscription. Refunds within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Cancel any time from Settings. Pro never gates core physics content — every article and simulation remains free.
7. Disclaimers
PhysicsForum is provided “as is.” Content is contributed by community members and edited by volunteers; we make no warranty that any answer is correct. Do not use the service as a substitute for professional advice in safety-critical settings.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Where possible, we issue a warning before suspending an established account.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the homepage at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
